Privacy
This notice explains how Samtaro Beauty handles personal data. It is written in plain language with Qatar’s Law No. (13) of 2016 on Protecting Personal Data Privacy in mind. It is not legal advice. The Arabic text published in the Official Gazette is the official law. The National Cyber Security Agency publishes the law and guidance at assurance.ncsa.gov.qa. Who we are
The directory is operated by Samtaro group Artificial Intelligence Solutions W.L.L. (سامتارو جروب حلول الذكاء الاصطناعي), Qatar commercial registration 252253. For privacy requests, email hello@samtarogroup.com or use phone and WhatsApp +974 3338 5525 (wa.me).
What this site is
Samtaro Beauty is a free directory of salons, barbers, spas and nail studios in Qatar. There is no account, no booking, no payment, no newsletter and no advertising. This site does not load analytics or advertising pixels. We would update this notice before any ad pixel is added.
What we actually process
You can read the directory without giving us your name, phone number or email. Search, filters and distance run in your browser. If you turn on Near me, your browser asks permission and the calculation stays on your device. We do not receive those coordinates. Your language choice and saved places stay in this browser’s local storage. Clearing the site data removes them.
If you email or WhatsApp us, we receive the message and the address or number you used to send it. We use that only to reply, and to correct or remove a listing when you ask. The host (Vercel) may keep ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, time and the page requested, in order to deliver and protect the site. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not sell personal data.
Listing pages show business details taken from public sources, with a source link and a checked date where we have one. A business phone published by that business is not a request for your personal data. If a listing shows a number or a name that is your personal data and you want it corrected or removed, contact us.
We do not ask for, and this site does not publish, tax numbers, labour registration numbers or personal identity numbers.
Why, and on what basis
Qatar’s law expects personal data to be handled with transparency, honesty and respect for dignity, and only for a lawful purpose. Reading the directory does not require an account. When you contact us, the purpose is to answer you and to keep the directory accurate. We collect only what that purpose needs, and we do not keep a message once the request is finished and we have no reason left to hold it.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and why. You can ask us to correct it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it. You can object where processing is unnecessary, excessive, unfair or unlawful, and you can ask us to delete the data when the purpose has ended or you have withdrawn consent. A correction request should include enough detail for us to find the right record. Email or WhatsApp us using the details above. You can also complain to the competent department named under the law. The National Cyber Security Agency’s privacy library, linked above, is the public collection of the law and current guidance. This page is not a statement of which office must receive every complaint.
Children and sensitive details
The law gives extra protection to data about children, health, ethnic origin, religious beliefs, marital relationships and criminal offences. This directory is not aimed at children, and we do not ask for that kind of data. Please do not send us a child’s personal data, health information or an identity document. If you believe we have any of it, ask us to delete it and we will.
Security and breaches
We keep the site small so there is little personal data to lose. If we learn of a breach of those safeguards that may cause serious harm to personal data or to privacy, we will tell the affected person and the competent department, as the law requires.
Outside Qatar
The pages are hosted so people in Qatar and elsewhere can open them. Technical logs may be processed by the host outside Qatar. We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing. The law limits steps that would block a cross-border flow of personal data, except where the processing would breach the law or seriously harm a person’s privacy.
No marketing messages
We do not email or WhatsApp you to advertise. Direct marketing under the law needs prior consent, a clear sender, and an easy way to stop it. We do not run that kind of message.
